Action Research

Action research simply put is a out of the box research method which will allow administrative teams to reflect on a campus problem and gather data from within not relying on outside sources for the data to solve their problem.
I believe that the implication of inquiry itself will help to relieve the pressure and give the principal the time he or she needs to implement deeper inquiry practices. You are also able to build leadership teams which will help you to have inquiry on your campus without having to lead every meeting and discussion. And as your campus become more adapted to the process of inquiry you as a administrator will be relieved of many small responsibilities and be able to lead and teach action research to you leadership teams and staff.

As a educational leader I think that blogging is a great tool, this is a non-threatening way for teachers and administrator to share ideas and solutions to campus problems. Because the blogs are not entirely school related it allows people to reflect and share their reflections in a way that is open and creative, without the fear of rejection on a personal level.
